Two jaguar cubs celebrated their first birthday at San Diego Zoo on Friday. Keepers gave them presents, banners and even a cake made of meat. "Well it's not your typical cake for a first year old but it's full of blood, some water and some pieces of beef heart." said Kimberly Hyde, a Senior Keeper at the zoo. The impromptu party for male cub Tikal and his sister Maderas was part of the zoo's enrichment programme, designed to stimulate the animals, keep them active and allow them to show their natural behaviours. Report by Laurie Blake.
