The beautiful aburria (also known as a piping guan) sits in a rain shower in the McNeil Avian Center's Tropical Rain Forest exhibit area.

What a wonderful experience this is - to be so close to such a spectacular bird in such a beautiful exhibit - and to know that this particular bird is safe and protected from the dangers of living in the shrinking tropical rain forests in the wild.
