Welcome to a new series of youtube videos, where Ketchup and Mustard break down each character reveal, and speculate how they'll play in the upcoming MKX! Please note that everything revealed in these videos and streams are subject to change, and may be different upon release. Stream footage was taken from IGN, and the Ermac Reveal Trailer belongs to Warner brothers and Netherrealm Studios. If you enjoy this video, feel free to Like and subscribe for more! There will certainly be more MK to come. Ermac Breakdown: Universal attacks • Teleport – Acts like Ermac’s MK9 tele. Knocks down on hit, but there is a small window to land a low poke into a special. EN version pops up for a bigger followup. • Force Blast now its own move, can be done on the ground or shot into the air for anti air. Seems too slow to be consistent. • Lift, seemingly replaces the choke hitbox wise, regular version splats and EN version pops up for a combo • Ermac’s B2 returns in some form, not sure what the input is, or if it’s unblockable when fully charged. • Levitate returns, can be cancelled from a jump. • X-Ray – Jump distance range, armoured. Just good damage for a single attack. Leaves you at jump distance. Master of Souls: • Straight projectile only belongs to master of souls (can be instant aired) • Under all circumstances will the projectile stun at level 3, meaning you can potentially end your combo with it to force a standing position to open up for mixups? • When all 3 souls are on ermac, straight projectile will stun. Ermac can also pop them up while stunned to combo from fullscreen. • Disappear, only belongs to M.O.S. Ermac will completely vanish and will be void from damage while gone. Seems punishable if the opponent hits you as you reform, but the ability to cancel into another vanish or attack could open up for jump in mixups after a stun from the soul projectile. Mystic • Force Push – Smaller hitbox than in MK9, but still covers a large amount of screen. The fast speed could potentially function as it did in MK9, a way to keep the opponent from pressing too many buttons from jump range. Sends fullscreen. EN version will drain the opponents meter. • Ermacs lift will leave the opponent floating in the air with this variation. Spectral • Hover move replaced by the ability to fly around. Similar to Sindel in MK9. Can cancel into it from jumping. Special attacks and normal can also be done from it. Ermac can use interactables and combo off a normal when cancelled into a teleport. • Has a time limit, so ermac will not be in the air forever. A very mobile variation.
