U.S. President Barack Obama, in his address last month to the United Nations General Assembly, stressed the importance of a comprehensive Middle East peace. The president said Palestinians and Israelis should embark on formal negotiations. Despite the shuttle mission of special envoy George Mitchell, there has been no agreement yet to revive formal talks. Meanwhile, four veteran American statesmen, in a recently released video, are describing what they see as the most reasonable way to end the Arab-Israeli conflict.
