This fun and rocky (scenery) drive is off the Mt. Whitney Portal Rd, just outside of Lone Pine, CA. The Alabama Hills are one of Hollywood's favorite places to film, especially Westerns of the past. But, even recently, as 'Django Unchained' had some parts filmed here.
