I apologise for sounding nasal in this video as my allergies are flaring up. Anyway this is my second video about this Eico model 377 audio generator, in which I clear up some misconceptions of my own about how this instrument works. A few things which I unintentionally left out of the video: The Philips/Westinghouse 6SK7GT (a very nice tube BTW) was placed in there as part of an experiment to see how well it would work with a remote-cutoff pentode rather than the 6SJ7 which has a sharp cutoff, and it seems to have no problem working in this circuit. I'll leave it in since this unit has very high hours. I know what some of you will say about me using a 6BX7 in place of the 6SN7 in the chopper circuit, but this tube works very well in its place and it is more robust (and considerably cheaper) than the high-hour 6SN7 which came out of there. I have checked all of the electrolytic capacitors in this instrument and they are all good with very low ESR. I will replace the paper capacitors later.
