Last years Nook became one of the most popular e-readers and one of the most hacked ones. Barnes & Noble looks to keep that momentum from last year going and compete directly against the Amazon Kindle fire with the Nook Tablet.
The Nook Tablet is now a full fledge tablet running android 2.3 gingerbread with a heavily customized Nook UI on top of it.  It comes with a 7 inch touch screen IPS color display, 16 GB of storage with 1 GB available for side loading, Micro SD card slot, 1.0 GHz dual-core processor, 1 GB of RAM and Wi-Fi.  The Nook Tablet has a nice soft touch back finish which makes it very comfortable to hold in the hands and an overall design that will appeal to many.
