Celebrated in the small Venezuelan town of Guatire, the Feast of Saint Peter holds a special meaning for Venezuelans. While the tradition stems from a story about a Black slave who prayed to the saint for him to save her daughter, her husband carried on the celebration by dressing up like her after she died.
