We live in a pretty small farm community, and yet, even here is something amazing. The Hope Elephants. Hope is a little town joining Union where I love. This is going to be a series of 5 videos and I'm going to present the entire presentation, from the introduction of the elephants and their story, to the larger story of the plight of Elephants world wide. I will say this. The people at Hope Elephants are all unpaid volunteers. This video was created with their permission. And I hope you enjoy getting to know the Hope Elephants as much as I did. No banjo in this one. This is all about the elephants... Special thanks to Patty Arcuni, who you won't see in the video but was very helpufl, and Fred Brown, a retired Detective from the Boston area, Neal Delehey who you'll see doing most of the speaking and Dr. James Laurita who is a Doctor of veterinary Medicine and juggler, and has worked with the elephants for decades... ***** I'll ad this. I shot some footage of their indoor facility complete with radiant heated, fresh sand covered flooring, and medical facility, but my battery must have run out 'cause I didn't wind up with much to show. For those of you worried about if the animals will be okay in the winter, I think they're being well cared for...
