Aid convoy enters battered Eastern Ghouta

In Syria, air-strikes halted for long enough on Friday to allow an aid convoy to enter the battered Eastern Ghouta, a rebel-held region on the outskirts of the capital, Damascus. According to the International Committee of the Red Cross, the thirteen trucks were carrying food that aid workers were unable to distribute earlier in the week due to the continued violence.
