Back after a one year break, the 2018 Stanford Cross Country Invitational was held on September 29, 2018 at the stunning Stanford Golf Course.  This is the Division 3 Girls race.  The course route was revised from 2016 but remains 5K in length.

Commentary:  The front is pretty spread out by the end of the first mile.  Riley Chamberlain, a frosh, has been running competitively for 3 seasons prior to this and it shows.  17:12 at Clovis and 17:42 on the tough Mt. SAC course this year.  Her soph teammate, Hannah Wirth, takes 5th so D-3 Del Oro may get to State this year.  Need that 5th-(wo)man.  Carissa Buchholtz is also a former club athlete and was Nevada's 3A State Champ the last two years.  McKaylie Caesar has been at State D-4 the last 2 years and has shown another jump in performance this year.  Another frosh in 4th - Helena Janku.  6th in the large schools varsity at Clovis this year.
