Spotting at NAS Oceana
Naval Air Station Oceana
Virginia Beach, Virginia
Thursday September 22, 2011

This video contains video that was shot between 9:00 AM and 5:30 PM outside of NAS Oceana while they were utilizing Runway 5R as the active runway when the winds were actually favoring 23L. There is a bit of activity in this video, mostly related to the upcoming NAS Oceana Airshow. The Blue Angels are featured in the video doing their circle and arrival maneuvers (the solos were to go up at 1pm but they did not go up until 5pm). Later in the day they switched to the 14s and I was very happy to catch some airshow aircraft flying down 14L and 14R as well as landing on both runways.

I apologize for the black or white blips in the video, as I still have yet to figure out what causes it.

If you are interested in purchasing DVDs of specific aircraft and/or of airshows, interested in anything and everything related to airshows (where the jet teams will show up, all airshow performers, airshow reports from airshows I have attended, previews of airshows I will be attending, etc.), a much more easier to navigate "version" of all of my videos, and/or everything there is related to aviation - including spotting guides to my favorite airports and military bases and aircraft factfiles, please take the time to check out Steve's Airshow World at http://www.stevesairshow.com .
