Norfolk Southern Train H8R, the carnival train, which was originally supposed to arrive in Middletown three days earlier but was held up due to a derailment in Massachusetts, makes its way slowly into Four Story JCT, as seen from the abutment of the dismantled overpass which used to carry the O&W over the Port Jervis Line, which is what H8R is on. As the train passes, I pan to the left to follow the direction of the train. In the far background, you can see where the Crawford Industrial splits off from the Port Jervis. At this point, H8R only has the flat cars, most of which contain the carnival rides and other machinery, due to the fact that the passenger car, which were carrying the carnival employees, was set off at Campbell Hall for H09 to bring to Port Jervis, while the flat cars are unloaded on the Crawford Industrial. Today's consist is C40-9W 9972 on the point, with SD70 standard cab 2541 in the middle, and GP38-2 5658 trailing, with 45 flat cars, almost all of them loaded with rides or other machinery.
