Channel: TEDx Talks · 2013 · Education
In this talk, Ed takes a look at the nature of (hidden) heroism in the modern day. He contrasts this with tales of our heroes of old and he highlights his points through both personal and more general examples. About Ed: Ed holds a degree in History and English. He currently works in education at the Nottingham Trent University Library and has long been fascinated by concepts of heroism in all manner of situations. In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
