iPhone music app gone crazy
Throughout the years I have become one of the go to tech guys among my family in friends. That trend played out tonight while visiting with my uncle. We were talking about some of the new devices coming out and what to expect this year. During the conversation he presented me with a question I have yet to see. He pulled out his iPhone 4S and asked how do you fix this?
The problem was the music app would continuously scroll through the song list. The scrolling would not happen in the artists, playlists or albums tabs; just the songs tab. I performed the basic troubleshooting steps such as kill the app, reboot, soft reset, make sure all the settings looked correct, made sure the Otterbox screen protectors was not interfering with the touch screen and updated the iPhone to iOS 6.1.3 (don't worry he has no interest in jailbreaking).
The next step would be to do a restore with iTunes. But I wanted to see if anyone else has had this experience or could provide any other troubleshooting steps to take before wiping the phone. My best guess is that somewhere down the line during a software download, something went wrong.
Take a look at the video and let us know if you have ever seen anything like this before. This is the first time I have ever this sort of bug. Lately it seems like there are new bugs popping up here and there with these new software updates. Could it be an iOS 6 issue or possibly a faulty download?
