Four thousand runners dressed as Santa race outside Paris

(16 Dec 2018) Around 4000 runners wearing Santa costumes gathered in the Paris suburb of Issy-les-Moulineaux on Sunday for an annual charity run. Seven charities were involved with the event, according to Andre Santini, the current Mayor of Issy-les-Moulineaux. He stressed the humanitarian reasons for going ahead with the event, despite security concerns following the so-called yellow vest protests and a gun attack on Tuesday in the eastern French city of Strasbourg.
