What a lovely little 00-18! It has a wonderfully round, woody, smooth attack that gives way to a clear, dry, focused vintage-style resonance. The lows are tight and thumpy, the midrange is broad and woody, and the highs have just enough sparkle to coat the whole sound in a glossy, glassy sheen. This little fellow also has plenty of headroom, so it maintains an open, spacious character that is quite inviting. Picture the northern lights poking out above a thick stand of spruce trees and you'll have a rough idea of how this little beast sounds: woody, warm, but spacious. The high headroom and focused tone make it great for flatpicking, and its broad midrange makes it a killer for warm fingerstyle tones. Anyone searching for an inspiring 00-18 will love this serial!
