Testing out the device

Booting up the yet unnamed device. I was thinking about naming it Shitty Tedious Device (STD) Background on my STD: My boss and I were discussing the many uses of portal computers and how it much fun gaming would be on them. We googled and found many devices made with the Pi that do this but... 1) They suck, outdated and forgotten 2) They are not portable With this in mind we set a goal to make something portable and Pimpin with the Pi. We made a couple design ideas, wrote down what we needed, then did research. After finding out EVERY difference between the Iphone 4, Iphone 5, and Samsung Galaxy s3 screens we decided to go with the 4 because of 1) closest aspect ratio to games of that time 2) power required to keep it at max brightness wasn't too high compared to the others 3) the price of the screen itself is rather inexpensive We are currently in the process of finding a controller scheme to use, but it looks like it'll be a SNES controller modified to have 2 addition shoulder buttons so games on the PS1 and Sega Saturn could be fully playable. Getting it to run the games is the first of many steps, and we are already in the process of figuring out how to get the screens working starting with old portable dvd players. Cheers, bitches
