Two men who deputies say were wanted by the federal government in connection to a drug cartel were found in Lindsay, about 60 miles south of Fresno. Deputies found the two men at a residence in the 800 block of Citrus Avenue just before 8 a.m. Thursday, a news release says. Grandson, Macario Garcia Pineda, 20 and grandfather, Adan Duarte Pineda, 59, both had arrest warrants from the United States District Court of Eastern District of Texas. They were arrested and booked into Tulare County Adult Pre-Trail Facility. "Both subjects were wanted in connection with 'Operation Joint Venture,' which was a federal investigation into cartel related marijuana cultivation and sales," the news release says.
