Tour Scotland video of the Scottish Fire Service carrying out a rescue on the River Tay near the Queen's Bridge on visit to Perth, Perthshire. Not a great video as I shot this video from the other side of the river. I must say that the Scottish Fire Service, Scottish Police Service and Scottish Ambulance Service did a fantastic job rescuing a woman who could easily have been swept away on the afternoon of 4th November, 2013. Two appliances, a technical rescue vehicle and a 4x4 carrying line rescue equipment were all dispatched to the scene from Perth at around 1.40pm. Firefighters, using line rescue equipment, entered the water and recovered the woman. They also used a short extension ladder during the rescue and provided blankets for the woman who was suffering the effects of the cold. Well done to all !
