St. Paul tells us: “if you be risen with Christ, seek the things that are above; where Christ is sitting at the right hand of God: Mind the things that are above, not the things that are upon the earth” (Col 3:1-2). With the Ascension of Our Blessed Lord into heaven this is very possible and much more easy because He took with Him our human nature … all glorified. Glorified human minds are there! Thus, St. Paul says in another place: “we have the mind of Christ” (1Cor 2:16). This is our goal… to have the mind of Christ. To use other terms, our goal is to think with ascent… which is how St. Thomas defines Faith… cogitare cum ascensione. Again, the mystery of the Ascension, this is possible!
