BTV Sends Complaint Letter against G.O.B. to U.S. State Department

The BTV is taking issue on the way U.S. funding for the April tenth referendum is being spent and in this case, misspent. The letter was issued today and copied to the U.S. Embassy in Belize as well as to Congressional Black Caucus and the Majority and Minority Leaders of the U.S. Senate. The BTV letter is written in the context of a donation of half a million dollars donated to Belize by the United States Government in July. The funding is for a public education campaign which, according to the BTV, is biased and one-sided toward a YES vote. The BTV further asserts that the U.S. tax payers’ money cannot be used for an impartial and unbiased campaign. News Five has seen a copy of the letter and got details from the BTV Will Maheia.
