Having traveled through 7 gruesome floors, the Light Warriors reach the end of the Sylx/Crystal Tower. They come across 5 dragon statues that don't move, but look real enough to.

In the middle of them is a mirror. The boys take a close look at it, and end up in a trap!

"SHIT!!" The boys bellowed. "I can't move!!" The curse was triggered by none other than the dangerous Zande/Xande. He then allows the boys to die as the 5 dragons' prey.

Dorga's soul, sensing them in danger, now had to look for five hearts of Light. Each of these are from a different person of a pure heart.

As a big reunion, the five hearts of light are of some of the characters that have met and/or traveled alongside the Light Warriors before: Princess Sara, Cid, Desh (Who has actually survived his own sacrifice to fix the Tower of Owen), the young King Allus, and one of the four old men of Amur.

With their combined strengths, these five, brave people held off the dragons, and lifted the Warriors' curse. The warriors then continued onto the tower, where they finally face Zande and his true form.

--------------

The first time I faced him, my party was too weak for him. This is the explanation for the videos of my party getting the two extra jobs and those summons.

Even after all of this, Zande is still a killer. I suggest that you just go all out on him. Healing is pointless unless you can grind even more beyond a level near 50. You don't even gain any experience from beating him.

Zande dies after you manage to beat him, but then he reveals that he was a pawn to the ultimate evil and true villian of the game: The Cloud of Darkness.

When Zande disappears, the Dark Cloud appears, states its plans, and proceeds to completely kill what remains of your party in a boss fight. This battle is intentionally unwinnable, so allow the CoD to kill you. To have a better idea that it, or perhaps "she", is the true villain, she has the largest sprite in the entire game.

The Five Hearts of Light beg the Light Warriors to get on their feet, but they were already dead. Desperate, the souls of Dorga and Unne revived them whole, allowing the two's souls to finally rest in peace. With the Five Hearts of Light seeing the boys off, the Light Warriors proceed onto the final dungeon, the World of Darkness.

As early as standing right in front of that particular mirror, once you do that, THERE IS NO TURNING BACK. Throughout this whole time after the battle, you can't even use an Exit magic or an OtterHead to get out. If you don't use an emulator and save states, and only use the game's save system, it will REALLY suck for your whole party to die anywhere in the Dark World.

Why? BECAUSE THE LATEST YOU CAN SAVE IS RIGHT BEFORE ENTERING THE TOWER! YOU'D HAVE TO START ALL OVER AGAIN!

*pant* *pant* Yeah, this is part of why Final Fantasy III is probably the hardest game of the classic 6.

--------------

Hope you've been saving plenty of those Phoenix/Fenix Downs and Elixirs, because even the Ninjas and Sages can run into some trouble from this point on.
