This happens occassionally. I ground balance on all metal mode. Any help would be nice. Sept 2015: Follow up: GarretDetectors here on YOUTUBE contacted me. They told me who to contact at Garrett and within 4 days I had returned my detector, they fixed it under warranty and got it back to me. Absolutely superb customer service!
