Off of my new record, "Trust Me Behind The Curtain."

I wrote this song a few years back when I was dealing with a long-term relationship that had ended over infidelity. It is still, to this day, one of the most painful things I have ever experienced in my life. But despite all the pain this event caused me, and despite dealing with severe depression for years after the fact, in the end I came out of it stronger. I grew a lot as a person through this experience and I have only God and His grace to thank for this. I believe sometimes God puts us through painful, heart-wrenching trials in order to make us grow, and mature as people. Sometimes it may be to force us to realize how much we need God in our lives. Whatever the reason, above all I know that He is a good and loving God who cares deeply about our well-being. He is our strength and He is more than able to take anything we go through, and use it for His glory and our joy. I'm thankful for what I went through, because there are things I wouldn't have learned had it not happened. Sometimes you have to go through darkness to see the light my friends :)
