The Deeper Pro+ is the model that I have been using for a few years bow. I do not use it on every trip, but I do like to use it when I venture to new waterways. It is a very handy device to help me discover submerged logs, drop offs, weed beds and other fish holding structures. 
For those fish species that swim in the open such as trout and carp, the Deeper Pro+ will actually find the fish when they are out in the open. 
I have used mine to create bathometric maps, sound out swimming holes, sound out yabby dams and potential fish stocking ponds.
