Agustin Meza, Wilma Talbott and Josue David Meza, at their apartment in Palenque, Chiapas, Mexico. Agustin and his family fled Honduras seeking asylum in Mexico. They were escaping persecution and threats of violence from the MS 13 due to their family business. Mr. Agustin asked and was granted asylum in Mexico. His wife, Wilma, and his 17-year-old grandson, Josue followed him to Mexico months later after the gang brutally murdered two of Josue's friends, and tried to recruit him into the MS 13. 

Entire families from the northern triangle (Honduras, El Salvador and Guatemala) are now fleeing their homes in search of international protection in neighbouring countries. The rampant violence in the region is prompting an overlooked refugee crisis.
