An officer happened upon a major traffic collision near the intersection of Harbor Boulevard and Lampson Avenue, near the Great Wolf Lodge, around 1:20 AM. During their investigation officers discovered that the driver of a red 2007 Ford pickup truck and a white 2014 Hyundai sedan were traveling along the SR-22 freeway when they became involved in a road rage incident. Both vehicles exited the freeway at Harbor Boulevard when an occupant inside the pickup trup shot at people inside the sedan. The sedan then intentionally collided with the pickup truck, ending the incident. Firefighter paramedics treated one occupant who was not wearing a seat belt with non-life threatening injuries.
