Interesting Cassette tape recorder. It's an AC BIAS!!!
I've restored this one. I had a second CTR-76 under the Realistic brand (that always comes from Tandy Corp.) 
On the RadioShack I had to work on the mechanism. The spindles weren't there and the entire mechanism was disassembled so I made one out of the two and now I have a fully functional CTR-76.
