Striper Fishing Lake Texoma and Mystery Crabs!

Flashback a few weeks to passing through the north Texas area to do a little striper fishing on lake texoma with our friend Chris H. from the OKC area. We find some schoolie sized striped bass on the alabama rig and topwater baits as well as make a surprise discovery!

Freshwater crabs on lake texoma! A spotted bass we caught coughed up 3 tiny crabs, apparently an invasive species that found it's way into Lake Texoma from the Gulf of Mexico. The Harris Mud Crab can be found on the rocky shorelines of the lake now. Interesting new piece of the puzzle for us to take into consideration on our next visit to this fishery!
