Every year across Thailand, to celebrate Songkran - the Thai New Year's national holiday - tourists and locals pour onto the streets and soak each other with water. Armed with brightly-colored water pistols, hoses and buckets, thousands of revelers descend outdoors to battle each other and drench passers-by. The holiday, which begins April 13 and lasts around a week, is primarily about new beginnings and washing away bad luck and sins from the previous year. Mitch Gilmore, from Sydney, Australia, who runs Revolution Music Film & Photography, traveled to Patong in Phuket to experience it first hand and attached his GoPro to a water pistol for a unique view of the festivities. The fun film perfectly captures the infectious joy exhibited by everyone involved as they come together for a good soaking.
