- At a very painful state in his own fight against the Yazidi army, Imam Ḥusayn left a powerful message not only for the Muslims but for the entire humanity.
- The world needs to hear this message even now. Despite all the advancements in science and technology, people of all nations and faiths succumb to their animalistic self.
- They don’t have respect for the women and children of the opponents. Whether it was the Christian Americans in Vietnam or the Shinto Japanese in China or the Buddhists in Burma or Ṭālibani Muslims in Afghanistan or the ISIS in Iraq and Syria, or the Christian Serbians in Yugoslavia, Hutus in Rwanda – all have attacked women and children.
- Imam Husayn didn’t ask Hurr whether he has come as a friend or as an enemy → he saw the thirst and ordered his people to quench their thirst. That is the value of humanity preached & practised by the Imam.
- All of us should remember this example of Imam Husayn (a.s.), more so the organizers and volunteers of the majãlis of ‘aza. → You should realize that the ‘azãdãr of Imam Husayn who come to the majãlis are your guests and you’re the hosts!
- The participants should listen to the volunteers and the volunteers should treat them kindly
