Governor's Taekwondo Cup 2015: Union Taekwondo Academy champion for 11 consecutive times

April 19 2015 : Union Taekwondo Academy (UTA) of  Yumnam Leikai  won the overall championship title of 11th Governor's Taekwondo Cup 2015, Indoor Stadium, Khuman Lampak organised by the All Manipur Taekwondo Association (AMTA) . This is the 11th consecutive championship title of the UTA since its inception. This is a unique achievement. 


UTA won 25 gold , 24 silver and 28 bronze medals to accumulate 487 points and win the overall championship title. National Sports Academy won 16 gold, 8 silver and 7 bronze medals and collected 259 points to win team runners up title. HTA got 154 points by bagging 9 gold, 4 silver and 6 bronze medals to win overall team 2nd runners up title. 

14 Taekwondo units  of Manipur -- UTA, NSA , HTA, SAI-RC , CTIS , PTA , IMRTA , NAMBOL , NAORIYA , MPSC ,KHOYA ,SORA ,ESU and BTTS participated in the four days long taekwondo cup and  341 players  (180 girls and 161 boys) competed in different weight categories.
