1)  Date cake /Christmas special date cake is on of the special cake made during chritmas, easy to make ,tasty cake ,very spongy and soft
Ingredients-
 100 gms or 1 cup mida ( all purpose flour)
50 gms- unsalted butter
75 gms- powdered sugar
Milk  - for soaking dates.if dates are 100 gm,milk 150 ml
Dates- 12 to 13 or 100gms (seedless)
1tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
Walnuts- ½ bowl 
Method-
Soak dated in warm milk ,(take sufficient milk requird till the dates dip inside).rest for 30 mins
Beat sugar and butter till creamy texture
Seive flour baking powder and baking soda together.
Blend the soak dates and mix in the batter.
Transfer into  cake tin, (greese with with butter and dusk little flou)r before pouring the batter.
Bake for 30 mins on 180c 
 Or can also do without oven  on gas for 45 to 50 mins.
