Hi Youtubers!
This is a poem by John Keats called "When I Have Fears". I did this song just as an experimentation. I took into consideration many "metrical" features, such as the enjambement (in line 7) and the stresses for the melody's composition.
When we had to write our own poem for the class I wanted to continue with this one, to create a completely new song. But once I had written the first stanza I thought that I was ruining Keat's work with my poem...

Feel free to ask me anything!

"When I Have Fears" by John Keats

When I have fears that I may cease to be
Before my pen has gleaned my teeming brain,
Before high grav'd books, in charact'ry,
Hold like rich garners the full-ripen'd grain;
When I behold, upon the night's starr'd face,
Huge cloudy symbols of a high romance,
And think that I may never live to trace
Their shadows, with the magic hand of chance;
And when I feel, fair creature of an hour,
That I shall never look upon thee more,
Never have relish in the faery power
Of unreflecting love!—then on the shore
Of the wide world I stand alone, and think
Till Love and Fame to Nothingness do sink.
