Construction is officially under way in Washington for the $185 million permanent headquarters for the U.S. Institute of Peace. American political leaders on June 5th gathered in Washington for the ceremonial groundbreaking of a building for the nonpartisan group that seeks to resolve international conflict and promote peace.
