Hello and welcome to The Walk With Fred Show MAY 2011. In this month's show we will talk about the wonderful 500 mile Colorado Trail.
The first hiking video is of the reroute via Indian Creek Trail to the Colorado Trail because of the Waterton Canyon closure. It is a great hike and a fun video.
I interview Bill Manning, he is the Managing Director of the Colorado Trail Foundation. We talk about different ways of volunteering to help maintain the trail. My walk at Denver City Park on the Mile High Loop shows that you do not have to drive to the mountains to get a good outdoor walk. The loop is 6 kilometers and is flat with lots to look at along the way. Bring water with you.
In closing I talk about rain and a few ways to enjoy a walk or hike in the rain.
