This year marks the 85th anniversary of the Holodomor, which the Soviet Authorities carried out in 1932-1933 in Ukraine. The Holodomor was an artificial famine induced by Stalin's regime. It is considered to be one of the most devastating events of the 20th century. Now Ukraine continues to lobby for international recognition of the Holodomor as genocide.
