Rep. Kelly Flood (D-Lexington) took to the Kentucky House floor on January 14 to speak in favor of benefit corporations, or "B-Corps." Those are for-profit businesses that strive for higher standards of transparency, accountability, and performance. While making money, these companies also address social ills.
