Imagine if everyone had a seat at the Table! Organizations and communities need to move beyond superficial diversity initiatives to create actual inclusive cultures. Schroedl describes an effective process to bring people together across race, class, culture and other means of self-identity to find common ground on critical public policy issues. Marnita Shroedl, founder of Marnita’s Table, created the model of Intentional Social Interaction. She has invented a replicable way to catalyze strong relationships between disparate organizations and individuals to deliver stronger, more engaged communities. Her mission is to decrease disparities and increase equality so marginalized communities and individuals are afforded their rightful seats at the resource sharing and policy-making table. Marnita has more than 25 years’ experience facilitating, training, and team building for corporate groups and senior executives. A skilled and energetic facilitator, she excels at demonstrating the positive rewards of proactively identifying and maximizing social capital. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
