My Uncle Joe was a Merchant Marine and he traveled the world with his guitar and reel-to-reel tape recorder in tow. As he traveled he would set-up his recorder and make tapes, sending them back to us kids and adults to hear. Uncle Joe passed away in 1985 just a few months before my daughter Kimberly was born, and it was a hard thing for me and my Dad. My Dad began taking his brothers tapea and transfering them to Cassette tape....but he never finished that. In 1998 when my dad died, I finished the job, except to four CDROMS. (and I shipped CDs of Uncle Joe to everyone in my family) I decided to set two the songs with him playing and singing to pictures of him and some of the things he was known for. God bless Uncle Joe.
