Virtual Assassin is a song written by Mr Jon Shepherd, lead singer and guitarist in The Toads. It tells the tale of a true story involving a father who hires someone to go online and kill off the avatar of his gamer son. The father believed that his son was spending too much time in the virtual world and this was his way of dealing with it. Surely a modern tale of our time!
