Well... What to say? He STORMED round the show jumping (despite a wobble before fence 3 where he clocked onto Sophie filming and lost a bit of balance, meaning I had to ride hard to reach 4 on the correct striding!). Unfortunately our fall we had in this water jump not 2 months ago has clearly taken a toll on him. Yes we had a run out at fence 12, the skinny brush; I admit it was my fault! But also wasn't helped that he was looking the wrong way at a sign that was on the fencing. Daft pony. Anyway, after Soph stopped filming I got him through the water again twice, down the smaller steps into the water an eventually down the drop into the water a couple of times, too. So it wasn't a total failure, but if we hadn't had that problem we would have won! Bah humbug. So, our mission this winter is intense dressage training & getting over the fear of drops into water! Those of you who watched our Moreton Morrell video (one before this) will know that it's not drops in general that worry him as he launched off a 4ft drop only last weekend. Anyway, enough ranting, this is to show that my horse is super dooper at sj!
