Chudamani Devkota has released nearly 100s of songs so far with music and lyrics of national pride, peace and love for the soil. Born in a middle-class family in Gorkha, Devkota was always sensitive and helpful by nature. Devkota is optimistic about the future of patriotic songs in Nepal. “Trends have changed as musicians of the younger generation have infused nationalism and longing for peace in their pop songs, but the important thing is to arouse these feelings among listeners, and it has worked in these latest songs too,” he says. Devkota however stresses the need for quality control in the music market.
