Then you disrespect me again by handing me a PBA card?" -State Trooper It was really unfortunate that I didn't have any of my cameras with me that morning ... but it is what it is. It was early and I was just heading out to breakfast with A. We rode through the normal rush hour traffic and I do not split lanes at all during this time. I signal left, then switch lanes. But sure enough, a State Trooper pulls up behind me when the traffic clears and sets off his sirens. SMH. It makes me laugh because there are days that I will admit that I do break some rules. We all do, whether were on 2 or on 4. But on the day I was just cruising, I of course get pulled over. I hand him my information along with a PBA card that he shoved back at me and says "you disrespect me and have the nerve to hand me a PBA card?". From that point on, we know that this State Trooper will not make our morning pleasant. Long story short, he runs my information, comes back from his squad car, walks around my bike asking for the vin number, then takes my keys without notifying me and says "I thought you were gonna run". Then tells me I have a pending ticket that I missed a court date on. Asks about my exhausts, my tail lights and why he stopped me. I completely forgot this when I did this video and A reminded me that he constantly kept saying "You disrespected me, by switching lanes without signaling, that's why I stopped you." I have legal integrated tail lights, he assumed I didn't have any at all. About 45 minutes later, we see a tow truck pulling up and both A and I were like, no f*ckin way. I walked over to his squad car while A stayed with the bike. The trooper then proceeds to tell me that I am a danger to other drivers on the road and mentioned other incidents where a motorcyclist lost his limbs and one where they had to scrape off the ground recently. Tells me I shouldn't be switching lanes without signaling especially with a passenger behind me. There was no winning. I signaled, but he claims I didn't. The worst part was when he started asking me personal questions - asked about my religion, my social, if I'm an American citizen and if I had any tattoos. WTF?!? Just give me my ticket and I'll be on my way, but he chose to have my bike towed. SMH. He hands me over 4 tickets - even gave me a ticket for lane splitting. Then tells me, just go to court and they can probably drop the charge from a moving violation. When we get to the impound, I paid all bush*t fees and rode my bike out within 2 wasted hours. SMH - its all business and I was the perfect target for the day.
