"If we really want to change into a desired direction we need a new poldermodel with cohesion, social energy and the ability to bridge differences as central characteristics, based on a commonly developed and agreed strategy".

Carel Hilderink, retired two star general and former governor of the Dutch Royal Military Academy, had several special management jobs within the Airforce from 1966 until 2005. From his life experience he believes that we need a new poldermodel with cohesion, social energy and the ability to bridge differences to change our society. All that should be based on a commonly developed and agreed strategy, aiming at effects we want to realize instead of simply spending more money as a solution for all problems.

About TEDx, x = independently organized event
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.
