Who is Carl Kwan?
I'm from Vancouver, BC, Canada and was born in Hong Kong. I grew up in Canada, so that's why I sound the way I do. Since 2004, I've been living in Seoul, South Korea.

What do you do?
I'm a presentations and video consultant who helps companies with sales and marketing and also with social media marketing. I look at a situation and create a persuasive, compelling, and hopefully, fun story that helps my clients make sales and market their products and services. But I've always had a love for teaching English and still do it for a very select group of Korean executives.

I also work with government organizations. For example, I provide presentations and global communications skills training to the Bank of Korea.

I'm a voiceover actor that does work on some of the top English teaching programs for EBS TV and radio. EBS is Korea's Educational Broadcasting System. I also do voiceovers for corporate clients.

I'm a regular featured guest on tbs eFM's 1013 Main Street, one of Korea's major English language radio stations. I speak about presentations, social media, leadership, and personal/professional development.

I've also appeared on TV and I'm the host of an online training program for new native English teachers in the Korean public school system.

I also have a website dedicated to teaching non-native English speakers how to give presentations... http://presentationexpressions.com

And I'm an Ambassador for Korea Business Central, a major online business networking site dedicated to helping foreign and Korean business people make connections and provide support.

If you're doing so many other things, why do you make English listening videos for YouTube?
The reason why I make these English listening lessons is because I'm a teacher at heart and I've always loved teaching English... I genuinely love helping people learn so I've continued making these videos even though I don't do that much English teaching anymore.
