CityFolk festival readies site

Mark Monahan, organizers of the upcoming CityFolk festival, took the media on a tour on Monday, September 14, 2015 of their sleek new home at Lansdowne Park, that highlighted a clever strategy designed to keep the neighbours happy: Pull the plug on the main stage at 10 p.m. and move the party indoors. The Aberdeen Pavilion, aka the Cattle Castle, will be the hub of Marvest, a free program that features local bands, craft beer, artisans, food and more. Adjacent to Aberdeen is the free kids zone, centred around the skateboard park, creating a no-admission corridor between the main-stage area and the Horticulture Building.
