Lock. He is a man with a combination of 37 years of both reserve and active duty with the Canadian Army, retiring with the rank of Lt. Col. in the year 2000. Furthermore, Douglas has volunteered his time with the Canadian Fallen Firefighters Foundation. This registered charity honours firefighters who have died in the line of duty and supports their families. Douglas has been the volunteer Treasurer for this charity, and has dedicated the past 5 years to helping it achieve its goals. Mr. Speaker, I find it inspiring when I meet people like Douglas Lock. He encourages the volunteer spirit in all of us, and we can all do more for our communities. I stand here to celebrate Canadians like Douglas, who embody a dedication to service. Thank you, Douglas.
