US GDP Shrank Almost 4 Percent

A Commerce Department report on the U.S. Gross Domestic Product shows the economy shrank at a 3.8 percent pace in the last three months of 2008, the worst showing in more than a quarter century. President Obama said the report underscores the difficulties American families are facing. Economists say the numbers show how far the U.S. economy has fallen. VOA's Mil Arcega reports.
